Qualitas Occupational Consulting is a Pretoria-based occupational hygiene consultancy serving workplaces in all nine provinces of South Africa. We are a Department of Employment and Labour Approved Inspection Authority and a SANAS-accredited (ISO/IEC 17020) inspection body for asbestos, lead, noise and hazardous chemical agents.

How an assessment works
1. Scope and quote. Tell us about the site and we confirm which assessments the law requires, then quote upfront, travel included.
2. Site visit. Measurements are taken during normal work, with personal samplers on employees where exposure must be measured, and area measurements for noise, lighting, heat and ventilation.
3. Analysis. Samples go to accredited laboratories, and results are compared with the occupational exposure limits and legal requirements.
4. Report. A clear, audit-ready report with results, compliance status, noise zones or risk ratings, and practical recommendations, ready for the Department of Employment and Labour, auditors and your medical surveillance programme.
Repeat intervals. Most assessments are repeated at least every two years, sooner where results are high or processes change.
